As Degreed’s platform grew, linguists increasingly struggled to translate short or reused UI strings without proper context. Without seeing where text appeared in the interface, translators raised hundreds of questions to clarify meaning and intent.

Rigi stood out because it provides visual context directly within localisation workflows. By integrating with existing development processes, it could show translators exactly how text appeared in the product, without adding extra steps for engineers.

This approach aligned localisation more closely with continuous development and reduced the need for clarification during each release.

The solution

Visual context built into the development workflow

Degreed integrated Rigi directly into its CI/CD pipeline. Translators could now see each string exactly as it appeared in the user interface, removing guesswork from the translation process.

More than 90% of UI text was covered by previews, giving linguists the clarity they needed from the start. As a result, questions were resolved before they were ever asked.

The coverage report feature also proved valuable. It helped Degreed identify redundant content and clean up more than 50% of unused strings in the database. This reduced clutter and allowed linguists to focus only on text that actually needed translation.
