FAQs

Do my in-country reviewers need a Rigi license to review translations?

No, the in-country review feature is provided as part of the Rigi platform. You can assign an unlimited number of reviewers.

With access to Rigi, they can examine translations in full context using a UI designed for non-linguistic reviewers. They can provide feedback by selecting text and adding comments which makes the entire review process much smoother and more accurate than traditional methods.

How are in-country reviews different from linguistic reviews?

Linguistic reviews focus on ensuring translations are accurate, grammatically correct, and consistent, typically performed by professional translators in a TMS. In-country reviews on Rigi, on the other hand, are done by domain experts in the target market and evaluate translations in the actual product context, checking for cultural appropriateness, terminology, usability, and whether the language resonates with real users.

Can we integrate Rigi with our existing Translation Management System?

Absolutely. Rigi works with your current TMS setup. We have direct integration via APIs with XTM Cloud and plugins for memoQ and Trados. You can export and import translation packages without any hassle. The Rigi add-in for Passolo automatically syncs with the Rigi server, so reviewed translations flow back to your TMS seamlessly.

What kind of technical setup is required to create a Review Pack?

None at all. Just select the HTML previews you want reviewed and choose your reviewers for each language. Once the review task starts, reviewers get an invitation with everything they need. No technical knowledge required on their end, and no complex setup on yours.

How do in-country reviews on Rigi differ from traditional methods?

Traditional reviews often mean spreadsheets and pasted screenshots, where feedback is hard to link back to the right string. With Rigi, reviewers see translations directly in the live UI and add feedback inline on the exact element. Each comment is tied to the source string in the editor, removing ambiguity. Unlike other systems, translators don’t waste time searching through repeated text segments — they know exactly what needs fixing, instantly.
